I am a well known climber, having climbed at least E8 every year since 1986, I have been running Mountain Leader courses for almost 30 years and Lowland Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor Courses for 15years. 

I live on the Welsh border and enjoy running courses in the Welsh mountains, Shropshire, The Peak District and Scotland.

I am the author of the most recent Clogwyn dur Arddu climbing guide book and also authored several climbing guide books to the climbing in Shropshire.

I hold the Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (formally MIC) and the International Mountain Leader award as well as being a qualified teacher with long experience of running a leading activity centre in North Wales. I am a member of the Outdoor Education Advisors Panel (OEAP) and now work as technical expert for several centres and also as an Adviser for off site visits.

My passion is being in the hills and wild places, being as happy bouncing around on rocks, walking up Munros, climbing ice, or in the alps.
